Although walk-up elopement ceremonies are welcome, we encourage all couples to make an appointment by filling out the reservation form for the package you are interested in.  Since this is a home-based business, we may not be available at all times, so although appointments are not required, they are recommended.

When it comes to eloping in Houston, we offer couples two (2) options...

All couples are given the choice of returning the license to the courthouse to be filed themselves or having the officiant take care of it at no additional cost.

So why should you elope?  Some common reasons are:
  • You can be married anytime, day or night, any day of the week. Just the 2 of you – no witnesses required - or have a few friends or family. It’s not real fancy, but cozy and a bit laid-back casual.
  • You can dress as casual or formal as you wish.  Blue jeans to tuxedos – your choice.  You can make a dinner date in the evening of it, come by after work, or have a wonderful Sunday elopement – for a fraction of the cost and time of the courthouse  — out in under 10 minutes if you wish.
  • The intimacy and ease.  An elopement ceremony is truly about the couple.  The stress of planning a large ceremony and trying to please everyone involved can be overwhelming.
  • Cost:  Recent polls show that the average wedding costs between $10,000 and $25,000.
  • 2nd Wedding:  Been there, done that, older & wiser, already had the big dream ceremony.
  • Want to make it quick?  Maybe you need to be married for insurance benefits, or perhaps one of you is about to be deployed in the armed services.  In the state of Texas, if one of you is active military, the 72 hour waiting period can be waived!
  • Special dates:  Want to be married on Christmas or Valentine’s Day?  Elope, then when you are ready, you can have a bigger celebration or reception at a more convenient date.
  • Dreaming of a Destination Wedding:  In some countries, getting a marriage license is a pain and a huge hassle.  Elope here, make it legal here, then have another beautiful ceremony at your dream destination, without the hassle of obtaining a marriage license there.
